Depart From Me, I Never Knew You –  Matthew 7:23 (Watch) – No Christian Will Ever Hear Those Words

The Religious Deception: Matthew 7:23 says “depart from me, I never knew you” oftentimes is used to scare Christians by teaching that this verse is written to believers. Many people also use verse 21 which says  “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven”. But what is the real meaning behind this verse? This video explains it in the simplest terms. 

The Truth From a Grace Perspective: In this video, you will discover these verses are speaking to religious unbelieving hypocrites who had lots of works and lacked one thing – they never KNEW Jesus. Keyword, NEVER. That’s right, they may have cast out demons in His name and even had a long laundry list of works “in His name” but they never called on the name of Jesus. Today we see God is actually saying this to those that think they are the religious elite and place a focus on human performance (less sin, more works) to get right with God.
